Those are bold claims that no one, Glock fan or not, can dispute. I have often said that the Glock is the foundation of firearms. Its reliability is clear and unquestionable. Glock is indisputably reliable, and this has been proven in dozens of military, law enforcement, and institutional tests. If you spend less than a Glock, the question becomes, "What corners are cut?" If you pay more than a Glock, "what's the advantage?" the question arises.
Approved Glock accessories include the 9mm round Glock 33 magazine. While there are floor plates and the like that add 19-round magazines, the 33-round magazine in the Glock 9mm is the big daddy of all. This magazine is designed for use in the Glock 18, a fully automatic version of the Glock 17 9mm pistol. Unlike many competitors and cheap imitations, the Glock magazine has a steel insert that promotes strength and feeding.
The magazine is well finished with good quality control. The base pad is strong enough to withstand multiple drops and provides good stability under speed loads. I have a few that I drop during magazine changes and hard workouts and they work great. The rear of the magazine has witness holes marked 5 through 31.
Magazines provide a tactical advantage in home defense, especially if the firearm is a modern 9mm carbine like the Glock magazine-compatible Kel-Tec Sub 2000. The balance does not significantly change the balance of the Glock 9mm. In any case, the piece will be more stable if the charger is installed.
Glock Extended Magazines
The magazine is 20 ounces with an ammunition load of 124 grains. The proper sequence for loading any high capacity magazine is to load three to four rounds, strike the rear of the magazine to fully seat the cartridge case in the rear of the magazine, and continue until the magazine is seated. When loading a Glock magazine, there should be strong spring pressure at first. Junk logs are weak and difficult at first.
Glock is getting tougher. I can load the magazine for about 29 rounds before I need the Blackhawk! log loader. Admittedly, the magazine loader makes it easy out of the box, but most of us, especially those younger than me, have little trouble loading the magazine to full capacity.
I tried the Glock 33 round magazine in various Glock pistols, firing at an angle and even in reverse. The magazine has never been fed and the pistol has never been fed, chambered, fired or ejected. The ammunition used was a Federal Syntech 124 grain load, a new load that I found exceptional for practical use. I practice a lot with my Glock and enjoy shooting these pistols.
33 round magazines have been left loaded for months and won't fire even when loaded to full capacity. If you want to use the traditional method of unloading a round or two, this is good for long-term use. However, with this magazine I don't see the need.

The 33-round magazine is well balanced. It weighs about 20 ounces with a full load of 124-grain ammunition.
I often keep this magazine ready in my Glock at home. A 9mm long slider Glock loaded with Speer Dot bullets is a great home keeper offering a 33-round payload.
