My department issues .357 Sig Sidearms, IMO it's a crap cartridge. You get very similar penetration and expansion than the 9mm and much less blast and recoil and you can carry more rounds and practice for less money.
I carry my Chunky Monkey Pocket Rocket Gen3 G33 often, and with my sometimes weak hand strength due to poor RA, the recoil produced was manageable, and I had no problem keeping my shots on target . Its width seems a bit wide for such a small gun, but you can expect the same high "touted" 10 + 1 capacity as the G26, even though the G33 has 1 less round in its magazine. But anyway, with the standard G33 magazine you have 9 + 1 rounds of 357sig on hand, and since I always carry 1 extra mag, that's 19 rounds of 357sig on my person, and if I can't do this. Hey man, I'm in big trouble and I shouldn't be taking anything but a cell phone to call the police when I make threats...
The "availability" of 357sig guns is a myth and a complaint only created by people hoping to get their 357sig guns at 1/2/price at their local hardware store and pop .
